Sex therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy that addresses the emotional, relational, and psychological dimensions of sexuality. It is not a medical procedure and does not involve any physical examination or sexual contact — it is talk-based therapy, sometimes combined with somatic and body-centered practices, held in a safe and confidential space.
Sex therapy might explore sexual trauma, desire, identity, intimacy, communication, pleasure, or anything else connected to your sexual self. It is for anyone, regardless of relationship structure, gender, orientation, or experience, who wants to feel more connected, more understood, or more at home in their sexuality. There is no normal to measure yourself against here. This is your story, and we explore it on your terms.
Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach to healing that recognizes your body as an active participant in your emotional life, not just a vessel carrying your mind around. The word "somatic" comes from the Greek soma, meaning body.
In somatic therapy, we pay attention to what's happening in your body — sensations, tension, breath, posture, movement — as real and meaningful information about your inner world. Rather than only talking about your experiences, we learn to feel into them, gently and at your pace. This approach is especially powerful for trauma, stress, and anything that feels stuck or hard to reach through words alone. Your body has been keeping track all along; somatic therapy is the practice of finally listening.
Both! I am happy to do either.
Yes! I meet with my clinical supervisor biweekly for 1 hour. I also meet with a peer consultation group with other clinicians biweekly. It is an ethical pillar of mine to receive support frequently.

I try to keep it simple.

4. We meet either weekly or biweekly.
I do not work directly with insurance companies. However, I partner with Mentaya, who connects with your insurance company to support you in getting coverage for mental health support. As an alternative to Mentaya, I can create superbills for anyone who requests them, which you can send directly to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Sometimes clients can get 50–80% reimbursement through Mentaya or superbills.
I charge $160 for 50 minute sessions and $250 for 80 minute sessions. (See the rates below.)
I require 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. If you cancel in under 48 hours I do need to charge the full session fee.
I hold a small number of sliding scale spots in my practice for those who need it. If my standard rate feels out of reach, send me a message and we'll figure out what's possible together.
